Cooking Instructions
Deep fry for best results. Can be pan-fried.
Thaw potato balls for 30 minutes prior to cooking. Fill a medium-size sauce pan halfway with your favorite cooking oil. Preheat oil to 350°F. Fry potato balls for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oil and place on plate with paper towels for 2 minutes to allow heat to settle. Do not overfill pan, and do not fry more than 3-4 potato balls at a time.
Minimum internal temperature should reach 165°F.
To pan-fry, place 1/2" of oil in a skillet pan, preheat over medium heat, and cook potato balls for 6 minutes, turning frequently for even cooking. Remove from pan and place on a plate with paper towls for 2 minutes to allow heat to settle. Minimum internal temperature should reach 165°F.
FAQ
Are Catalina Papas Rellenas fully cooked?
No — fillings are par-cooked but the breading is not cooked, and they should be cooked before eating. We recommend deep frying from frozen.
